Jarred Sumner rewrote Bun from Zig to Rust not for speed but because style guides and review kept missing use-after-free bugs a compiler could catch. He ran 64 Claude instances across four worktrees, each diff checked twice: 11 days, 6,502 commits, about $165,000 in API costs.
